PETOŠEVIĆ, a distinguished mid-sized firm specializing in intellectual property, is on the lookout for a dedicated Intellectual Property Paralegal to enhance its team at the Romanian office. This opportunity promises engaging responsibilities and an influential role in protecting and managing intellectual assets.

Key Responsibilities

As an Intellectual Property Paralegal at PETOŠEVIĆ, you will take on a variety of tasks that are crucial to the firm’s operations. Your main duties will include:

  • Prosecution Records Management: You will be responsible for creating and maintaining prosecution records within the firm’s database system, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • IPR Applications: This involves preparing, filing, and handling trademarks, patents, and other intellectual property rights applications. You will also address office actions required as part of the application process.
  • Change Recordals: Manage the procedural formalities for recording changes before the local Intellectual Property Office.
  • IP Rights Maintenance: Overseeing renewals and annuities of IP rights to ensure they remain in force.
  • Due Diligence and Investigations: Assist in due diligence processes and in-use investigations, playing a vital role in evaluating and validating the usage of intellectual property assets.
  • Customs Seizures: Provide assistance in preparing reports and managing matters related to customs seizure.
  • Portfolio Integration: Assist in the integration of diverse intellectual property portfolios, ensuring seamless management and administration.
  • Translation Tasks: Translate various texts between the local language and English, facilitating communication and documentation processes.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate to join PETOŠEVIĆ should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Educational Background: A college or university degree is required to ensure a solid foundation in handling the tasks involved.
  • Language Proficiency: You must have an excellent and professional command of the English language, both written and verbal, as it’s essential for daily communications.
  • Experience: At least two years of experience as a paralegal and/or in the intellectual property field, offering the practical insight necessary to handle the role’s challenges.
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail is crucial to manage the intricate details involved in intellectual property work.
  • Responsibility and Independence: High sense of responsibility and the ability to work independently with the capability to manage various projects effectively with minimal oversight.
  • Time Management: Strong skills in time management, enabling you to prioritize tasks and use available resources efficiently.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong computer skills are a must, with proficiency in applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
