AI Adoption Triples Among Cyprus’s Large Companies, Statistics Show

The realm of artificial intelligence (AI) is experiencing unprecedented growth in Cyprus, particularly among large businesses where the adoption rate has tripled. According to the latest statistics released by the government, a remarkable 34.9% of large companies in Cyprus have embraced AI solutions in 2024, a significant increase from 13% in 2021.

The report from the Statistical Service highlights that the overall AI adoption across businesses of various sizes reached 7.9% in 2024. This marks a notable uptick from 4.7% in 2023, signaling a growing recognition of the advantages AI technologies can offer. Specifically, medium-sized enterprises have shown a commendable 14.3% adoption, while the figure for small businesses stands at 6.3%.

A substantial 59.1% of all companies are now holding meetings online, an adaptation that reflects global shifts towards virtual engagement. Moreover, nearly half of the businesses (49.4%) are investing in online advertising, marking an almost twofold increase since 2016.

The statistics reveal that a significant 84.1% of companies with ten or more employees are equipping their staff with mobile internet devices, facilitating flexible work arrangements. Additionally, a vast majority (88.1%) of businesses provide remote email access, while 71.7% ensure that employees can access documents remotely.
