Assam University Silchar Announces Project Associate Recruitment 2024 for DST Sponsored Project

Assam University Silchar is on the lookout for eligible individuals to join their team as Project Associates in an exciting research project. This recruitment is part of a Government of India – Department of Science and Technology (DST) initiative, under the Tribal Sub-Plan (TSP) scheme managed by the IIT Bhillai Innovation and Technology Foundation (IBITF). The project, titled “Development of an Intelligent System for Weather Forecasting, Smart Farming, and Information Dissemination for the Scheduled Tribe Community of Barak River Basin using Satellite Image Processing, ML, and IoT”, is an innovative move towards leveraging technology for community development.

The opportunity is initially available for one year, with the possibility of extension based on project needs and funding availability. This engagement is on a temporary basis but opens up a path for candidates interested in academic research, with the option to register for a PhD program in the department, provided they meet the requisite criteria.

Walk-in-Interview Details

Aiming to fill this position, Assam University Silchar invites interested candidates to participate in a walk-in interview. The selection process is scheduled for 19th July 2024, starting at 11.30 am. The venue is the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Assam University, located in the scenic university campus of Silchar, Assam.
