Crane NXT Enriches Board with Cybersecurity Expert Sandra Joyce

Crane NXT, Co. (NYSE: CXT), a pinnacle in the industrial technology landscape, is excited to announce a strategic enhancement to its Board of Directors. Sandra Joyce, a renowned figure with over twenty years of profound experience in cybersecurity and national security, has been appointed as a Director of the Company, signaling a promising horizon for Crane NXT’s endeavors.

Joyce’s exemplary career spans significant roles where she has intricately woven her expertise into the fabric of global security paradigms. Currently, Joyce holds the position of Vice President at Google Cloud, overseeing the esteemed Mandiant Intelligence as its Head. Her journey to Google was marked by the acquisition of Mandiant (previously known as FireEye, Inc.) in 2022, a company where she had been a pivotal figure since 2015. Her pre-Mandiant phase was marked by a substantial tenure at Battelle Memorial Institute, dedicating her intellect to Intelligence & Mission Support from 2003 to 2015, and making substantial contributions by working closely with global government agencies.

Further illuminating her illustrious career, Joyce is an active Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Air Force Reserves. She extends her expertise and perspective to the National Intelligence University as a board member. Additionally, her role is significant within the Silverado Policy Accelerator Strategic Council, Aspen Institute Cyber Working Group, and the Institute of Science & Technology Ransomware Task Force, where she contributes towards shaping the future of cybersecurity and national defense strategies.

The appointment of Joyce comes as Crane NXT bids farewell to Max H. Mitchell, who played a fundamental role during the transitional period following Crane NXT’s spinoff from Crane Company. Mitchell’s departure, scheduled for May 23, 2024, marks the end of a chapter and the commencement of an invigorated strategic direction under Joyce’s guidance.

John S. Stroup, Chairman of the Crane NXT Board, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “I am delighted to welcome Sandra to Crane NXT’s Board. Her deep expertise in cybersecurity and threat intelligence, coupled with her vast experience working with governments around the world, will be a tremendous asset as Crane NXT continues to successfully execute on its growth strategy.” Stroup also extended his gratitude towards Mitchell for his invaluable contributions during his tenure.
