FLock.io Announces Mainnet Launch and Token Generation Event on Base

FLock.io, the innovative AI training platform focused on privacy, is thrilled to announce the official launch of its mainnet on Base. This significant milestone is accompanied by the Token Generation Event (TGE) for its native utility token, FLOCK, poised to play a crucial role in incentivizing and rewarding community participation within the FLock ecosystem.

During today’s TGE, the FLOCK token will be introduced on Bybit, marking an exciting opportunity for those who participated in the incentivized testnet to receive an airdrop of FLOCK tokens. Users can now engage in decentralized AI training through the platform, accessible via train.flock.io, and earn these tokens. The FLOCK tokens will facilitate collaboration among data providers, training nodes, and compute providers, establishing a cohesive ecosystem within FLock.io.

“The mainnet launch and TGE are huge steps forward for FLock.io,” stated Jiahao Sun, CEO and Co-Founder of FLock.io. “With the power of Base, we’re equipping builders, users, and everyone with the tools to create and collaborate on privacy-first AI models. The FLOCK token is the unifying element that ensures the prosperity of this thriving ecosystem.”

The mainnet launch reflects the culmination of several years of dedicated effort to develop a decentralized, community-governed AI platform that prioritizes privacy and security. Since its inception in 2022, FLock.io has achieved remarkable milestones, including raising $6 million in a seed round in March 2024 and launching an incentivized testnet on Base Sepolia in May 2024. The strategic funding round led by DCG in December 2024 demonstrates the confidence investors have placed in FLock.io’s vision.

Having garnered attention and traction within the AI community, FLock.io boasts an impressive output of nearly 20,000 AI models created to date. The ecosystem is supported by a robust infrastructure, featuring over 600 training nodes, 1,000 validators, 63,000 delegators, and a substantial 700,000 end users who utilize the models. The platform’s products such as AI Arena, a competitive AI development environment; FL Alliance, a federated learning collaboration platform; and the AI Marketplace, facilitating user interactions and model deployment, have all been well-received.

Securing data ownership and promoting community engagement are at the heart of FLock.io’s platform, utilizing on-chain rewards to encourage transparent and active participation. With over 30 advanced models now available, FLock.io has processed in excess of 2.5 million model and validation submissions. Collaborations with esteemed partners like Morpheus, IOnet, and Aptos further bolster the platform’s capabilities.

As the sole AI infrastructure project to receive the Ethereum Foundation Academic Grant in 2024, FLock.io underlines a transformative shift toward privacy-preserving, community-driven AI development. This paradigm shift reduces reliance on centralized systems while empowering a global network of users. The mainnet launch and TGE pave the way for FLock.io’s next phase of privacy-focused community-driven AI development on Base.

Interested users can now access FLOCK on Bybit and CoinGecko exchanges. To delve deeper into what FLock.io offers, visitors are encouraged to explore flock.io.
