A Groundbreaking Partnership: Shaping the Future of Technical Education with the SAMBAV Program

In a remarkable collaboration aimed at revolutionizing technical education in India, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Skillible have come together to launch the SAMBAV initiative. This pioneering program stands to bridge the long-standing gap between academic knowledge and its practical application in the fast-evolving technological landscape.

At its heart, the SAMBAV program introduces an educational model that brilliantly integrates academic rigor with real-world project work. It promises to take students on an educational odyssey, allowing them to dive deep into projects that simulates the professional world’s challenges and intricacies. This innovative approach is enhanced by the guidance of experienced professionals from the industry, aiming to cultivate a keen understanding of modern technologies and their practical uses.

The program aligns with the ambitious goals of the Ministry of Education, Government of India, to position the nation as a global hub for skills and knowledge. In line with this vision, AICTE has been actively working towards upskilling, reskilling, and new-skilling 40 crore individuals covering students, teachers, and learners across the country. Special emphasis is placed on pivotal technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Cybersecurity, among others. AICTE’s internship portal, which boasts over 4.8 crore student registrations and 48 lakh internships, is set to complement the SAMBAV initiative by offering substantial practical experiences.

Ankur Goel, the visionary Founder of Skillible, emphasizes the urgent need for a workforce that not only grasps theoretical concepts but can also adeptly apply these in solving contemporary challenges. “SAMBAV aims to redefine technical education, preparing students to lead innovations and drive progress. Our collaboration with AICTE marks a significant step towards building a talent pool well-equipped to tackle the complexities of today’s tech landscape,” stated Goel.

AICTE’s Chief Coordinating Officer, Chandrasekhar Buddha, highlighted the importance of this initiative in preparing a tech-savvy workforce ready to fuel innovation and growth. Through the SAMBAV program, AICTE and Skillible are dedicated to offering a curriculum validated by the industry standards and rich in practical learning experiences, seamlessly facilitating students’ transition into their professional careers.

The program not only promises to hone the technical skills of participants but also culminates in a joint certification from Skillible and AICTE, symbolizing their industry readiness. Furthermore, it recognizes the importance of continuous learning by awarding credit points in alignment with the Ministry of Education’s norms.

Launching with specializations in areas such as Software Development, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and Salesforce Development, SAMBAV is set to cover even more ground by introducing additional high-demand fields in the future. Skillible’s ambition doesn’t stop here; they aim to reskill and upskill 1 million students and professionals in emerging technologies, thus arming them with the skills necessary to thrive in the industry.

This milestone collaboration between AICTE and Skillible through the SAMBAV program represents a forward leap in creating a robust framework for technical education. It signifies a brighter future for students and professionals eager to excel in the realm of technology and innovation.
