Addabbo’s Mobile Office Tours Queens Libraries This Summer

This summer, residents of Queens will have a unique opportunity to connect with State Sen. Joe Addabbo, Jr. as he embarks on a tour with his Mobile Office across multiple library locations in his district. Understanding the challenges that some may face in reaching out to their elected officials, Addabbo is taking a proactive approach by coming directly to the constituents.

“Accessibility is key in fostering a transparent and responsive government,” said Addabbo. “By setting up our Mobile Office across various Queens libraries, we aim to bring our services closer to the people, ensuring that their voices are heard and their concerns are addressed without the barrier of traditional office hours.”

The initiative kicks off in the heart of Queens and promises an engaging platform for residents to discuss their concerns, ranging from personal matters to broader community issues, directly with their representative. The setup invites an open dialogue, encouraging a more personal interaction than might be achieved through other means.

The Mobile Office timing and its premiere location are as follows:

  • Thursday, June 20, 2024 – 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. – Middle Village, 72-31 Metropolitan Ave.

Highlighting the importance of being accessible and available to his constituents, Addabbo expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming sessions. He assured that these meetings provide a valuable opportunity for him to understand the unique perspectives and challenges faced by the residents of Queens.

“Meeting face-to-face allows for a more meaningful connection. It’s about building trust and ensuring that our community feels supported,” Addabbo remarked. “Every concern that is shared with me during these mobile office hours helps shape our efforts to make Queens a better place for all its residents.”

The Mobile Office represents a significant effort by Addabbo to reach out to his constituents in a convenient and familiar setting. It underscores a commitment to not only listen but also to act on the concerns of the community, bridging the gap between citizens and their governmental representatives.

As summer approaches, Queens residents are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to meet with Sen. Joe Addabbo in person, share their issues, seek guidance, or simply to get to know more about the ongoing work to improve the quality of life in their community. This initiative is a testament to the power of direct engagement and the important role that public officials can play in making government more accessible and responsive to the needs of its people.
