Embrace the Winter Wonderland at Bao’an Pavilion during the ICIF

Get ready to dive into a winter marvel unlike any other at the Bao’an District pavilion at the 20th iteration of the China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF). This year, visitors are in for a treat with a remarkable showcase awaiting them.

A Ski Adventure Awaits

The crown jewel of the Bao’an pavilion is its immersive ski experience. Imagine gliding down a 19-meter ski slope, all within the comfort of the indoors. This experience is a precursor to the much-anticipated Shenzhen Huafa Snow World, an indoor ski resort that’s poised to redefine winter sports. Slated for completion in 2025, this 100,000-square-meter haven (equivalent to 11 football fields) is set to be the largest ice and snow center in the world at its altitude, offering an unprecedented skiing experience.

A Cornucopia of Culture and Innovation

But the adventures at the Bao’an pavilion don’t just stop at skiing. The pavilion is proud to present a dazzling array of 244 cultural and creative products from 27 distinguished local companies. Spanning a 615-square-meter space in Hall 15 of the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center, the exhibit is cleverly divided into sections dedicated to culture and tourism, digital smart manufacturing, and intangible cultural heritage, ensuring there’s something intriguing at every turn.

Notable Highlights and Innovations

Upon entering, visitors will be greeted by Nailoong, a beloved character from Chinese anime, brought to life by Seventh Impression Entertainment (Shenzhen) Ltd. Fans can look forward to exploring a world of Nailoong-inspired products, diving deep into this vibrant IP.

Delving into the realm of intangible cultural heritage, attendees can admire revolutionary products inspired by the Shangchuan Huang Liansheng Awakening Lion Dance, an art form recognized as a national treasure in 2021. Authentic lion dance heads used in performances will also be part of this mesmerizing display.

The innovation continues with exhibits from Bao’an’s leading manufacturers and digital creatives. Highlights include a robotic barista, a smart dressing mirror, cutting-edge VR equipment, and state-of-the-art action cameras — items that blend technology with everyday life.

A Journey Through Subvenues

Bao’an further extends its ICIF presence through nine captivating subvenues, including the F518 Creative Park and Tea York, each hosting unique events and exhibits. From digital transformation challenges at F518 to aged tea tasting sessions at Tea York, these subvenues offer a closer look at the district’s rich cultural tapestry.

An Artistic Crossroads

The spirit of collaboration and unity shines brightly at the outdoor art exhibition located along the corridor from Hall 9 to Hall 16. The “Wujie — Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Macao Youth Art Exhibition” is a testament to the boundless nature of art, featuring works from a diverse group of over 20 artists from these regions.

The exhibition, co-curated by two renowned artists, Chen Xiangbo and Hong Ko, serves as a vibrant arena for contemporary, public, and industrial design artworks. It embodies the notion that art transcends borders, encouraging dialogue and cooperation among creative minds from Shenzhen, Hong Kong, and Macao.

In a significant gathering on May 26, distinguished artists and scholars from these regions will discuss the vibrant cultures of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA). This meeting will also mark the launch of an initiative to establish the Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macao Youth Art Exchange Center, a move aimed at nurturing public culture in the GBA and fostering a creative community.

The Bao’an pavilion at ICIF is more than just an exhibition; it’s a beacon of cultural exchange, innovation, and artistic exploration. As visitors immerse themselves in this frozen fantasy and beyond, they are sure to leave with a renewed appreciation for the creative potential that thrives in Bao’an.
