WordPress.org Services Resume After Holiday Break
After a well-deserved break for the holiday season, services on WordPress.org have officially resumed. Users once again have the ability to register new accounts, submit plugins, themes, and photographs, as well as review plugins, bringing their creative ideas back into action.

This move was prompted by a proposal from a noted member of the community, highlighting the necessity of a WP.org account for purchasing WordCamp tickets.
The resumption of services comes without a specific recommencement date having been shared. The expectation was expressed that with the arrival of the new year, an opportunity would arise to restore these vital services, matching the time, energy, and funding required to do so.
For those wishing to create a new WordPress.org account, the process involves the provision of a valid email address and a chosen username. The registration includes three checkboxes: acceptance of the Privacy Policy, optional subscription to the WordPress Announcements mailing list, and a whimsical query about the preference for pineapple on pizza. However, only the acceptance of the Privacy Policy is necessary to complete the registration.
